her crystal eyes opened;
swiftly fluttered awake
up and down
scanning the walls
searchng the ground.
frigid breeze wrapping,
a whirlpool around her ankles.
thin silk floating in the air
opening and collapsing onto skin;
a single curl lay twisted
spiraled across her shoulders-
navy blue sparkling irises
the color of oceans afar;
glowing opaque pupils
piercing and pulling
a hand slid up
to wash a tear,
and dropped;
along with memory and fear.
